Joseph H. Livingston

Joseph H. Livingston, a longtime resident of Palm Beach, died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at the Lourdes-Noreen McKeen Residence in West Palm Beach.

Born in Newark, Ohio, Mr. Livingston moved to Palm Beach with his mother, Kathryn, and sister, Kay, in 1946.

The Livingstons were life members of the Flagler Museum which they served as volunteers.

He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church and sang in the choir for many years.

Following his service in the U.S. Army during World War II, he worked in the hotel business, including the Surf-Side Hotel, the Carlton and the Sea-Breeze, which later became the Holiday Inn.

A funeral was held Wednesday at St. Edward Catholic Church. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park in West Palm Beach.

Contributions in Mr. Livingston's memory may be made to the Lourdes-Noreen McKeen Chapel, 311 S. Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.

Quattlebaum Funeral Home in West Palm Beach was in charge of arrangements.
