Susan "Sue" Huguley Wallau of Palm Beach died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at her home. She was 86.
Mrs. Wallau was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Macon, Ga. She moved to Greenwich, Conn., in 1948. She bought a home on Middle Road in Palm Beach in 1980 and moved permanently to Palm Beach in 1989.
Mrs. Wallau was married in 1944 to Alex Lee Wallau II, who survives. They are members of the Everglades Club.
Mrs. Wallau also is survived by her children, Alex Wallau III and his wife, Martha; Susan Wallau de Rohm and her husband, Jose; Elizabeth Wallau Howard and her husband, Edgar; Ward Wallau and his wife, Elizabeth; Sheldon Wallau; and Claire Wallau Musso and her husband, Carlos.
Other survivors are her grandchildren, Jose E. Rohm Jr., Alejandra Rohm de Young, Maximiliano Rohm, Charles T. Howard, Christopher T. Howard, Keating Wallau, Grace Wallau, Ruby Sue Wallau, Charles Wallau and Graham Faught; and her great-grandchildren, Alexia and Martina Young.
Mrs. Wallau was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Ward Wallau.
A grave-side service was held Saturday in Greenwich.
Gallagher's Funeral Home of Greenwich was in charge of arrangements.
