Edward L. Kaplan of Palm Beach died Sunday, July 13, 2008. He was 69.

Mr. Kaplan was born June 15, 1939, in New York City. He lived in Scarsdale, N.Y., before moving to New York City, where he was a jeweler.

He lived in Palm Beach for the past seven years.

He is survived by a sister, Lynn Stein of Miami; two nieces, Nancy Cherny of Maccabim, Israel, and Wendy Block Sanford of Arlington, Va.; and a nephew, Peter Block of Northbrook, Ill.

A memorial service will be held in September.
