Panama flooding likely, but no cyclone in sight
A large area of disturbed weather in the southern Carribbean (circled in yellow) could douse Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua with rain and possible localized flooding, the National Hurricane Center said at 7 p.m. Monday.
But “there are no signs of tropical cyclone formation” as the system drifts westward, forecasters said.

2008 Atlantic hurricane season:
Paloma was the second strongest Atlantic hurricane ever noted in November behind Lenny of 1999.
