LIFE’s Historic Palm Beach Photos
Soprano Lily Pons in a Palm Beach club, 1944. Photo by Thomas D. Mcavoy.
More reasons to love The Google.
The Internet big daddy is hosting an archive of millions of photographs from LIFE magazine’s collection, many of which were never published. Some date back to the Civil War.
And for our purposes: lots of vintage Palm Beach (and Miami) photos. Search to your heart’s content: LIFE Photo Archive

Some of my favorites are by the late Eliot Elisofon, father of local fund-raiser and jewelry designer Jill Elisofon. Take this image of his, at right. You know that was one memorable shoot. This photo is categorized under “Resorts — Miami, Palm Beach.” Probably Miami. Anyone know for sure?
