‘Kennedy Family Album’ A Blockbuster
Ted Kennedy, 1968, after some Worth Avenue shopping. Photo courtesy of Davidoff Studios.
My visual treat this morning was finding a copy of The Kennedy Family Album, featuring the late Bob Davidoff’s photographs, waiting for me on my desk.
“Finally, after years of talking about it, we have a book!” Bobby’s wife, Babe, wrote in her accompanying note. “It is almost like giving birth.”
PBS reporter/producer Linda Corley wrote the text. Oh — and some guy by the name of Sen. Edward Kennedy penned the foreword, remembering how family members were “awed by his talent with a camera.” (Read our earlier Shiny Sheet coverage here.)
Babe said she’s “very pleased” with the results. “And now Bobby’s photos will be a part of history.”
Watch for book parties later this season. But don’t wait to buy your own copy. Trust me — you will want to devour each page. It’s that wonderful.

I agree! The book is so beautiful with wonderful photos I had never seen before. I’m so glad these photos have been made public. I’m going to be giving it as a Holiday Gift this year!

Babe — Thank you! It’s such a touching tribute to Bobby, too. So happy for you all!
